What Are Sash Windows

Sash windows are the sliding wooden windows usually found in period homes in the UK. Over time they can become warn and begin to perish, this leads to drafts, noise, loss of heat and general energy inefficiency.

Many people believe it is necessary to replace these windows with new ones or even move to the less attractive PVC versions. However it is possible, through a reputable company to actually restore and repair sash windows at far less a cost than replacing them.

Further to this, they can also be altered to be quiet, energy efficient and they keep a property looking true to its character, an invaluable asset.
